To submit notices for publication on the bulletin board, just click HERE to create an email to me. The Bulletin Board does not offer support for political positions of any nature, but PNWFSA members are welcome to offer commentary of their own or to submit public domain articles, news releases, and speeches that may be of interest to other members. Any such material will be posted to the web site without editorial comment. Copyrighted material will not be accepted without the written consent of the author. Club members are welcome to post "Unclassified Ads", Lost and Found Notices, event and meeting notices, etc., on the Bulletin Board. In addition, most Internet Service Providers (ISP's) provide their members with personal "Web Space", and some of you undoubtedly have developed your own web site that includes family photos, vacation photos, etc. If you wish to share those pages with other members of your Forest Service family and friends, just email the link to OldSmokeys and I will be glad to post a link to your site on the new "Photo" page...your friends will be glad you did too. Please note that the Bulletin Board notices may not be posted immediately. This site is, after all, managed by retired, volunteer help...Bob Note: Many of the links in the R-6 Updates do not work. They link to an internal FS Intranet and are not accessible to the general public. Those that link to Internet sites do work. I post the information here, with links included, so that the retiree group can read the information posted in the R6 Update and access the Internet links if desired. Our thanks to R-6 employees Kathy Bowman, Writer/Editor-Public Affairs, and Nancy Barnes, Employee Relations Assistant for continuing contributions to keep the OldSmokeys retiree group updated on newsworthy items and retiree benefits.
$$ REMINDER: Your Dues are payable by January 1, each year. If you overlooked the date, you have probably already received a gentle reminder (or your "drop" notice if you ignored the reminder too)! Please submit your dues promptly and remain on the active member list. Even though most club information is available on this website, we still need your financial support to fund our activities. Thank you.
Just click on my name to send me an email...Don
